If you like cruising and you like Disney, prepare to be wowed. As good as Disney’s service is, imagine being surrounded by it 24/7. That’s right. I’m talking about the Disney Cruise Line. Who better than Disney to design a family friendly cruise line? And it’s not just for families with small children. I know a couple who are in their sixties who go on a Disney cruise every year. They go by themselves, no children, no grandchildren, just the two of them and they love it.

If you don’t want to be surrounded by children, you don’t have to. That’s what Disney does so well. They have organized events and areas of the ship for each kind of experience. There are adults-only areas like the spa and salon which offers couples massages. There is even an adults-only restaurant where couples can enjoy a romantic dinner for two. And, like most cruise ships, there are clubs and lounges where adults can sip wine and dance the night away.

For families with children, Goofy’s Pool is a big hit, where kids can splash around with their favorite Disney movies being played. There are also deck parties where kids can dance around and release some energy. Teens find more than enough to interest them as well. For example, Disney cruise ships show first-run movies in their on-board theatre. This is the only cruise line to offer movies that are currently running in land theatres. Teens also enjoy hanging out in their own space where they can take part in karaoke, dance parties, and video games.

Parents can feel safe venturing out to do what they want to do, while leaving the kids in the care of the well-trained Disney staff. If you get a chance to do a Disney cruise, you will probably say it is the best vacation you have ever been on, whether you have kids or not.
